Katherine Freiberg's TNT PledgePage: Anchorage,AK...Here we come!
Together, we can make a difference!
Dear Family and Friends, On June 21st, I'll be running 26.2 miles in the Mayor's Midnight Sun Marathon in Anchorage, Alaska. Although this sounds challenging, there is no need to worry! This is because I will have great inspiration. I am running on behalf of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and for my honored teammate, Justin. Justin is eleven years old and lives in Baltimore, Maryland. (You can see a cute picture of him in my photos link). He was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia when he was 6 years old. When he grows up, he wants to be a veterinarian,a preacher, and a singer! Sadly, Leukemia is the #1 killer among children in the United States. The good news is however, that the survival rate has improved from 4% in 1960 to 79% today. My goal is to raise $4,000 dollars to support the mission of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to cure leukemia and other blood related cancers. Won't you help? Please sponsor Justin and me in this Team in Training effort to defeat Leukemia, Lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, and myeloma. Every penny counts and all donations are tax deductible. It is because of people like you and me that Justin is able to play the drums, sing, eat pizza (his favorite food), and enjoy just being a kid. So together, we truly can make a difference in the battle against leukemia and other blood cancers. Your donations however small or large, are definitely needed and will help in a very concrete way. For more information about the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or Team in Training, visit www.Leukemia-Lymphoma.org. Please have donations post marked by March 8th. Please help me cross the finish line! Thank you for your support!, Katherine :) |
